The Black Butte TriAthlon is on hold

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that, due to a staffing shortage caused by budget issues, Black Butte Lake has been temporarily closed. The closure has left no other option but to cancel the Black Butte Triathlon for 2025 and beyond.

We hope to be able to bring this event back in the future so check back.

The Black Butte Triathlon is currently on hold. Events will include an Olympic Distance Triathlon, a Sprint Distance Triathlon, and a Sprint Duathlon. All events will be USAT Sanctioned. The race is managed by the Chico Triathlon Club.
